1940s four-door floating cabinet / buffet attributed to Paolo Buffa, originally customized on three brass legs, the ones on the sides giving to the design an aerodynamic line. A refined piece in two-tone palisander, the front decorated with a lighter burl veneered square pattern framed in a darker tone. The quality of the execution is combined with inventiveness and the refined and rustic elegance of Italian design.
Paolo Buffa designed for illustrious clients, including the Royal Palace of King of Albania (1940), the Royal Yacht Mahroussa of King Farouk of Egypt (1951-52) and some interiors of the cruise liner Leonardo Da Vinci (1950’s).
